DLF IPL (Indian Premier League) 2009 second season will be played during April-May 2009. All the timing and timetable remain same as per previous IPL matches. Indian Premier League (IPL) is established by the BCCI in 2007.
The second season is tentatively scheduled between April 10 and May 29 2009.

- The format of the tournament would remain unchanged from previous 2008 season format.
- Eight franchises will first play against the other in a competition in the home-and-away basis.
- At the top four teams will then be included in two semi-finals and final.
